Hello & Welcome,

Thank you for taking the time to consider working with me and, more importantly, for taking the time to consider working on yourself. Therapy can be an effective support in our lives whether we are going through a tough time or looking to deepen our self-awareness.

I have been lucky to have worked with a diverse range of clients. Through this work, I have developed a specialty in treating eating disorders, negative body image, poor self-esteem, anxiety, and depression. Additionally, I have had my own lived experience with pregnancy and the postpartum period, and I enjoy working with other birthing people throughout their journey to becoming parents and postpartum.

I believe that we all deserve self-compassion, self-care, and the chance to feel good about who we are and what we are doing in this world. I believe that it is possible to heal your relationship with food and body and that everyone has the potential to learn how to accept themselves with all of their unique quirks and qualities in order to embrace a fuller, more joyful life.

Most importantly, I believe therapy is a space to be heard - to express our honest selves and learn to use our voice in a nonjudgmental space.

I hope you will consider working with me.

Sincerely,

Monique

ABOUT ME

I am a two-time alum of Boston University. I first graduated with a bachelor of arts in psychology proceeded by a masters of education in clinical mental health counseling. I have clinical experience in suicide prevention, psychiatric rehabilitation, and the treatment of eating disorders. Additionally, I have experience educating communities on mental wellness and how to create welcoming spaces that foster positive relationships with food and body. In 2024, I completed my certification to become a Certified Perinatal Mental Health Specialist (PMH-C) through Postpartum Support International.

Previously I served as a Clinician & Director of Community Education at the Multi-Service Eating Disorders Association (MEDA), which is a nonprofit dedicated to supporting those struggling with eating disorders and their loved ones. While at MEDA, I created and led the Binge Eating Disorder support group, EmbodiED, and further specialized in the treatment of binge eating disorder. Additionally, I have experience treating eating disorders and other mental health issues at a higher level of care through my time working as a group and primary therapist at a Boston day treatment program.

I am a lover of dance, chocolate, and spending time with my family, including my dog, Pickle.
